PLATFORM POSITIONING

Facebook’s stated direction

Social discovery that opens your world.

Meta’s 2024 vision frames Facebook around discovery through interests, communities and life opportunities. The material, updated in 2025, does not position it exclusively for one age group.

AUDIENCE & INTENT

Understand who you’re trying to reach.

Who makes the decision?

For a Singapore business, define service radius, language and decision roles. Household services may involve different users, enquirers and payers; business services involve both owners and operators. Address their different concerns rather than relying on age targeting alone.

What people come here to do

People use Facebook to find recommendations, local services, events and useful information. Pages, groups and conversations can then help them decide whether a business is right for them.

CONTENT & ATTENTION

What keeps the right audience watching?

A real question with a usable answer

For example: three things to check before booking. Establish relevance, then explain the process, price factors and next step.

Hypothesis: relevance keeps interested people watching. Compare similar-length videos, meaningful comments and qualified enquiries.

Local experience and service process

Show the actual place, people and work. Use customer questions with permission so viewers understand how the business operates.

Hypothesis: specifics reduce uncertainty. Review relevant interactions, profile visits and bookings, not shares alone.

Product demonstrations and events

Explain use, participation conditions and dates visually. Avoid crowded posters and engagement bait.

Hypothesis: clear utility supports action. Separate viewing, visits, registrations and attendance.

REVENUE PATHS

Turn interest into enquiries and sales.

Service enquiries

Content or ads → WhatsApp, Messenger or a form → qualification → appointment, quote and sale.

Product sales

Product content or ads → website product page → purchase. Review the offer, price and buying journey together.

Events and follow-up

Event content → registration or enquiry → attendance and follow-up, alongside appropriate ongoing customer communication.

01

Reach new customers. Build on existing trust.

Facebook helps businesses stay connected with people who know them and reach people discovering them for the first time. We give each audience a clear reason to pay attention.

Feed: answer a recognisable customer need

Meta uses a range of signals and predictions to rank content. We make relevance clear from the opening line: who the post is for, what decision they face and how it helps. For a Singapore retailer, that might mean answering a practical question about opening a shop, with advice the reader can use.

Recommendations: make the first encounter count

Facebook can recommend people, Pages and groups someone has yet to follow. Each piece we create for discovery introduces the business, explains the situation and offers a useful next step. Viewers can understand it without reading earlier posts. Eligibility gives content an opportunity to be recommended; actual reach depends on distribution.

Groups: earn your place in the conversation

We study the questions members ask and the rules administrators set before proposing group content. Checklists, practical answers and relevant events give the business a useful role in that community. We seek the appropriate permission and tailor each contribution to the discussion.

02

Choose formats that help customers move forward

A customer discovering your business needs different information from someone comparing options or ready to book. We choose formats around those decisions.

Images and copy: make one decision easier

Pricing, service differences, working processes and common misconceptions each deserve a focused post. The opening image identifies the question; the copy explains the reasoning, gives an example and sets out relevant limits. We finish with one useful next step so readers know where to go.

Reels: show how the business works

Demonstrations, staff explanations, answers to common questions and real work in progress give customers something tangible to judge. Every shot earns its place by adding information, feeling or a necessary pause. The opening establishes what is happening and why it matters.

Stories and events: help people act at the right time

Reminders and behind-the-scenes updates keep current activity visible, while service information remains easy to find beyond the moment. Event posts clearly explain who should attend, when and where it happens, and how to register.

03

Create original work people want to spend time with

Facebook’s originality and spam guidance shapes our production checks. We build content around the people, knowledge and work that make your business worth following.

Put your business’s own experience on screen

Facebook recognises content produced directly by its creators and meaningful creative contributions. We draw on real people, locations, explanations and working processes. When a project uses external material, we check usage rights and the substance your business adds to it.

Deliver what the post promises

Meta warns against unrelated captions, distracting hashtag overload and attempts to manipulate distribution. We check the cover, caption, content and destination together. Each should support the same promise, with irrelevant trends and filler removed.

Start conversations customers care about

Budget priorities, purchase concerns and service choices make useful discussion topics because customers already face them. We use their responses to shape future content and improve service information. The conversation stays authentic, with real participants and relevant questions.

04

Build the advertising plan around a business outcome

We connect the ad, the destination and the customer’s next action before setting a media budget. The plan also defines how success will be measured.

Match the campaign goal to the enquiry or purchase journey

For appointments, we assess instant forms, website forms and messaging. For ecommerce, we review product pages and purchase tracking. We confirm the options available in your account and judge the campaign against its intended outcome, whether that is a qualified enquiry, a booking or a sale.

Find new customers and reconnect with interested ones

Blueprint covers new audiences, Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences. We establish location, language, customer eligibility and data permissions before choosing what to test. Visitor and customer data is used only where consent, privacy requirements and platform rules permit.

Test what changes the customer’s decision

Each test records the customer problem, offer, supporting evidence, opening and call to action. We compare the argument before refining the presentation. If several variables change together, we explain the limits of what the result can tell us.

05

Make Reels ads feel right on the screen

Meta’s Reels resources cover filming for the format and adapting existing material. Before launch, we review the framing, sound, text placement and action we want viewers to take.

Keep the message clear in vertical video

Meta’s guidance covers 9:16 video, audio and safe zones. We leave room for interface elements so products, captions and key messages remain visible. Readable subtitles help the message work when viewers cannot listen.

Give the same offer different openings

A question, a direct demonstration and a result-led opening can introduce the same offer in different ways. We test which earns useful responses and check that the rest of the video delivers on the opening promise. Results guide the next version.

Rework the story when the format changes

A landscape film may need a shorter introduction, a different sequence, repositioned subtitles and a clearer call to action to work as a Reel. We check music and advertising rights, then preview every placement to keep essential people and information in frame.

06

Turn enquiries into useful sales conversations

The journey continues after someone responds. We agree who follows up, how enquiries are qualified and how the business delivers on the ad’s promise.

Ask the questions that establish a good fit

Meta’s lead-generation guide covers form experiences and CRM integration. We ask for the information your team needs to help: the service, location, timing or nature of the enquiry. The form also explains what happens after submission.

Make the first WhatsApp exchange easy

We prepare an opening question, assign responsibility for replies and clarify appointment availability and common concerns. Customers know what information to send, and the response picks up naturally from the offer they saw in the ad.

Follow the enquiry through to the sale

We track submissions, reachable contacts, qualified enquiries, bookings and completed sales as distinct stages. Where suitable and permitted, CRM integration can connect customer outcomes with the platform. We reconcile platform reports with verified sales and financial revenue.

07

Use reporting to find the next improvement

Our reports follow the route from exposure to interest, enquiry, qualification and sale. Measures reflect how your business actually wins customers.

Find where customers lose interest

Low response suggests a closer look at relevance and creative. Clicks without submissions call for a review of the page or form. Enquiries without sales raise questions about fit, pricing and follow-up. We investigate these possibilities against the evidence before drawing conclusions.

Read campaign costs in the context of the business

We record the reporting period, spend, attribution basis and conversion definition. Acquisition costs are assessed alongside order value, margin and sales cycle. We also review Facebook and Instagram placements separately, even when campaigns share Meta tools.

Leave each review with a clear next test

The next step might be addressing a customer concern, strengthening the evidence or improving one part of the enquiry journey. Where the data is inconclusive, we state what we still need to learn and design the next test around it.

How a renovation question becomes a campaign

Consider an interior design business seeking renovation enquiries. This example illustrates our planning process; it is not a client case study or a forecast.

Answer the question behind the purchase

A useful starting point could be: “Why can similar renovation quotes lead to very different final bills?” Three specific cost items can explain the scope and give homeowners a practical comparison method. The content must accurately reflect the service the business provides.

Build a small set of assets with a clear test plan

An initial plan could include a cost-breakdown video, a quotation checklist, an enquiry destination and two video openings. For every version, we record the hypothesis, intended audience, supporting evidence and call to action. Native caption or thumbnail tests can be added where the account supports them.

Use the response to sharpen the next round

Attention from outside the service area would prompt a location and messaging review. Enquiries expecting free design could reveal a misleading checklist or invitation. We judge the next move by relevant renovation enquiries and appointments, using views as one part of that picture.

09

Put Meta’s learning tools to work

We use official learning resources to build practical workflows, checking current availability and settings in your account before including a feature.

Compare Reel thumbnails or captions

Meta has documented mobile tests with up to four Reel captions or thumbnails, with results shown in the professional dashboard. We keep the topic consistent and vary the question or emphasis. Before testing, we confirm access and how the winning version will be selected.

Use retention to improve the edit

Meta has documented follower and non-follower reach alongside retention tools. We compare drop-off points with the video itself to investigate a slow introduction, an unclear explanation or a promise the sequence fails to deliver. That gives the next edit a specific question to test.

Test the full enquiry journey before launch

Blueprint teaches forms, messaging and calls as distinct lead-generation routes. Our launch checklist identifies the chosen route, the person handling leads, qualification criteria and reporting method. We complete a test enquiry before advertising begins.
